The character of systematic writing is significantly diffent from old-fashioned essay or persuasive writing, therefore providing specific technology writing instruction as soon as feasible in a young scientist’s profession is valuable also at institutions that mandate first 12 months composing competence with a needed core curriculum. The elements of good scientific writing and how to properly format a paper, future neuroscience students are much better prepared to tackle more difficult scientific content in upper-level courses, and are better able to communicate what they find in their own research if general undergraduate biology courses teach students.
